Grilled Turkey Pesto Sandwich

  • 4 slices bread
  • ½ lb sliced turkey meat
  • 2 slices 2 slices provolone cheese
  • 2 tbsp butter, softened
  • ¼ tsp garlic salt
  • 8 tbsp basil pesto
  • 4 slices tomato


  • Spread butter on 4 slices of bread. Lightly sprinkle each slice with a pinch of garlic salt. These are the OUTSIDE pieces of your sandwich.
  • Place two slices of bread, butter-side down, in a pan over low-medium heat.
  • As the slices of bread begin to grill, add 2 tbsp pesto to each slice of bread in the pan.
  • Then, add 1 slice of cheese to each slice of bread in the pan.
  • Divide the turkey meat in half. Add one half of the turkey meat to each sandwich in the pan.
  • Add two slices of tomato to each sandwich in the pan.
  • Take the remaining 2 slices of bread, and on the non-buttered side, spread 2 tbsp pesto to each slice. Add a slice of bread to each sandwich in the pan, pesto side down. The buttered side will be facing up.
  • Now that each sandwich is complete, flip both sandwiches over in the pan. Continue grilling over low-med heat for 2-3 minutes, or until the outside of the sandwich is a golden brown color.
  • Remove from heat, and enjoy.
